The module single station monitoring offers the possibility to secure employees in accordance with the law for individual work.

Single-user monitoring can be started and ended by the user at any time. Both the start and end are logged.

The user can set the monitoring time interval between 3 and 15 minutes.

He can also activate the motion sensor. If this is activated, the timer is automatically reset.

When starting the single-user monitoring, the current GPS position is automatically recorded.

The user has the option of issuing a voluntary SOS alarm at any time.

If the user does not acknowledge the alarm within the set time, a corresponding SOS alarm is automatically generated.

The SOS alarm is sent to the users stored in the system. The last known GPS position is transmitted automatically (GPS must be activated).

The individual station monitoring is set up in the following steps:

Determining which users can use the dead man's switch
Determining which users should receive the notification when the dead man switch is started or ended
SOS alarm configuration

Determination of use of dead man's switch

You can determine which users can use the dead man control.

You create this in the "Permissions" area. You can do this for individual users, user groups or user roles.

In the standard system, all users who have been created in the "Security staff" user group are authorized to start single-user monitoring.

Definition of notification "start and stop dead man's switch"

The start and end of the dead man's switch is logged and can therefore be traced at any time.

It is possible to tell other users that it has started and ended. To do this, the receivers must be assigned to the "Dead man's switch" user group.

You can determine whether another user should be informed when the deadman switch is started and ended.

SOS alarm configuration

When the dead man's switch has been started, the user has the option of creating a will-dependent SOS alarm. When the timer expires, an SOS alarm is also generated.
You can specify who should be notified in the event that an SOS alarm has been created.

We have preconfigured the process so that the corresponding users who are to receive an SOS alarm must be assigned to the "SOS alarm" user group.

EVALARM has the additional module, “Dead Man's Switch,” and supports you for single station monitoring and occupational safety.

With the dead man switch, the user can at any time issue a deliberate alert and thus call for help.

In the case of an alert, the persons stored in the alert process are immediately alerted.

Activate the dead man's switch

You will find the button for the dead man's switch in the upper right corner of the EVALARM app.

You can see the period after which the predefined SOS alert is triggered here.

The period can be set between 3 minutes and 15 minutes.

In addition, you can activate the updating of standalone monitoring by movement. No manual action is necessary.

You can also add a message to explain the location and reason for the alert.

Fall Detection (Beta)

For even better protection in single station monitoring, we have added a fall detection to the dead man's switch. To activate this, check the box provided.

If the fall detection is active, a fall is detected by the sensors of your smartphone. If the person does not move for 8 seconds after the fall, an SOS alarm is automatically started.

The drop sensor is still in the beta test phase.

The alert levels of the dead man's switch

When the alert is started, the countdown begins.

You can reset this to the beginning at any time by pressing the button.

Furthermore, you can trigger an SOS alarm manually before the time runs out or terminate the monitoring early.

Pre - alert 1

Once there are only two minutes remaining, the first pre-alert starts. The screen of your phone will begin to flash and your phone will vibrate.

Pre - alert 2

If only a minute remains, the second pre-alert starts. This remains until the countdown has expired.

SOS Alert is triggered

If the alert is not interrupted by the dead man’s switch, an SOS alarm is triggered.

You can terminate it immediately with the everything okay response.

Otherwise an SOS alert is triggered, in which the user, contact details and GPS location is transmitted to the pre-defined address in the workflows.
